A Windchill RCE chain that never encrypts anything, and the June hunt window it opens

Suspected Cl0p operators chain a FlexPLM WSDL disclosure to CVE-2026-12569 for unauthenticated code execution. No encryption stage means ransomware-tuned detections stay silent.

NetScaler attackers tunnel into internal networks with a new Python proxy

Mandiant and Google traced a September 2026 campaign exploiting NetScaler bug CVE-2026-88772, CVSS 9.5, to root on appliances with no login. From there the intruders drop web shells and a Python tunneler that reaches into victims' internal networks to steal credentials.

Every wiki that ran MediaWiki External Data before 3.7 needs a hunt for planted PHP shells

Automated exploit attempts hit MediaWiki's External Data extension within a day of the 25 September disclosure of CVE-2026-100382, a CVSS 10.0 flaw. Upgrading to 3.7 closes the entry point but leaves behind any PHP shell an attacker already wrote to disk.

Crafted emails give attackers shells on Zimbra servers running SNMP notifications

Microsoft says attackers are using CVE-2026-73570 to run commands on Zimbra mail servers with one crafted email and no login. Zimbra shipped the fix in 10.1.20 on July 20, 24 days before disclosure, so anyone who waited for the advisory to patch was already late.

Pre-auth NetScaler exploit plants a superuser account and hidden web shells

LevelBlue says attackers are exploiting NetScaler flaw CVE-2026-88771, rated 9.5, to create a hidden superuser account and plant web shells. The patch closes the injection but removes neither, so already-exposed appliances need a compromise check.

Attackers plant PHP web shells through two unauthenticated WordPress upload flaws

Wordfence blocked more than 250,000 attempts against Super Forms and 190,000 against Elementor Pro. The Super Forms campaign has been running since July 14, so unpatched sites need a look through their uploads directories.

Malware on F5 BIG-IP APM appliances splices its PHP web shell into Apache's memory

Sophos says the code patches Apache and hooks the PHP module loader so the shell never lands on disk, which leaves file-integrity checking on an appliance that was never running EDR unable to prove much.

Attackers are telling a WooCommerce plugin that PHP is an allowed upload extension

CVE-2026-27540 lets an unauthenticated POST save a PHP file, and 2.0.3.2 closes that write. Whether a file that already landed can run is a separate question, decided by how the server treats the upload directory.
