IBM i 7.3 through 7.6 share a CVSS 9.9 code-injection flaw in the HTTP admin app

IBM disclosed CVE-2026-96119 on October 13, 2026, a CVSS 9.9 code-injection flaw in the HTTP Server Administration app on IBM i 7.3, 7.4, 7.5 and 7.6. Exploitation needs a valid login to that app, so limiting who can reach it works before the patch lands.

GuardDuty promotes weak runtime signals to CRITICAL once Inspector, Macie and Security Hub add context

Amazon GuardDuty Extended Threat Detection began attaching five new indicator types to attack sequences on May 20, 2026. Each indicator depends on a separate service being enabled, so what you get tracks what you already run.

Putting KEV and EPSS ahead of CVSS lifts a 6.5 finding above a 9.1

Ranking by KEV, then EPSS, then CVSS puts a 6.5 with 0.61 exploit odds ahead of a 9.1 at 0.02 in a Dev.to triage guide's worked example. The order is sound, though the backlog savings it promises rest on five hypothetical findings and CVE-wide statistics the post does not source.

ENISA puts weaponisation of a disclosed vulnerability at 15 minutes

ENISA says in a July 2026 assessment that the research-and-develop delay defenders implicitly count on is disappearing as automated systems take over the attacker's work, with the remaining window measured in minutes.

Two agent sandboxes ship an unauthenticated shell endpoint on every interface

Cua's auth check keyed on a container variable while its bind default listened everywhere, and the pair scored 9.8. AutoAgent's blunter version had no fixed release when the records went out.

Cohesity's field CISO ranks KEV above EPSS above CVSS in a tiebreaker she would hand an analyst

Joye Purser answered the question most vulnerability programs only argue about mid-outage. She attached hours and dollars to the answer instead of leaving it as scoring philosophy. The preconditions are where it gets expensive.

Three AI scanners disagreed on 95 percent of one codebase's findings in Contrast's test

Contrast's 2026 production telemetry says the average application absorbs dozens of exploit attempts that actually fire each month, while its own bench test found three AI scanners barely agree on what to fix first.

Frontier AI can find the bugs faster. The patch queue is the number nobody published.

The Hacker News argues frontier models turn vulnerabilities into exploits at machine speed. Its remedy reorders the backlog; it does not add remediation capacity, and the text counts neither.
